General Questions
-
I help with everyday obedience, leash pulling, jumping, excessive barking, recall, confidence building, and reactivity toward dogs or people. I also work with more complex behavioral challenges, including fear, resource guarding, and aggression. A free consultation helps us determine whether my programs are the right fit for your dog.
-
Most board and train programs run three or four weeks. Dogs working through more complex behavioral challenges may need a longer stay. We’ll discuss your dog’s history, needs, and your goals before recommending an appropriate program.

I take just three training dogs at a time. This allows me to give each dog dedicated attention, personalized training, and thoughtful care throughout their stay.

Play and having fun are a huge part of my training programs. I want your dog to enjoy learning, build confidence, and develop a stronger connection with you. I use a balanced approach tailored to each dog, combining food, play, and rewards with clear guidance, structure, and accountability. Depending on your dog’s needs, training may also include leash guidance, prong collars, and e-collars. We’ll discuss my approach and recommended tools during your consultation, and I’ll teach you how to use the tools included in your dog’s program.
-
Absolutely! We’re partners in your dog’s progress, and teaching you is an essential part of the training. Your program includes go-home lessons where we practice together so you feel confident communicating with your dog and using their new skills. You’ll also receive personalized guidance to continue building progress at home. My support doesn’t end at go-home. I’m here for guidance, questions, and encouragement throughout your dog’s life.
-
Your dog comes home with skills you’ll learn to use together during your go-home lessons. Continuing that progress takes consistent communication, routines, and practice in your everyday life. Some behavioral challenges also require ongoing management. We’ll discuss realistic expectations for your dog and how I can support you along the way.

Board and Train

-
Yes. Dogs must be crate trained and comfortable resting in a crate before their boarding stay.
-
For dogs who haven’t stayed with me before, a one-night trial stay may be required based on our initial conversation. This helps us determine whether my home environment is a good fit and gives your dog a chance to become familiar with the space before a longer stay.
-
Your dog shares in daily life in my home, with personal attention, consistent routines, and a balance of activity and rest. Care is tailored to their personality and needs, with time to play, relax, and settle in.
-
Boarding includes daily structure and consistent expectations, but dedicated training lessons are separate. If you’d like training during your dog’s stay, let me know before booking so we can discuss the right option.
-
We’ll go over everything together before your dog arrives, including their routine, feeding instructions, health requirements, what to bring, and drop-off and pickup arrangements.
